Meet the Illustrator
Adam Gipson grew up under the wide Texas sky with a controller in hand, discovering whole worlds through retro video games. Those pixelated adventures sparked a lifelong drive to create his own. Today, his art fuses the dynamic energy of anime with the bold wit of western cartoons. Guided by a personal philosophy of “drawing like a child but correcting like a scientist,” Adam builds characters and worlds that feel both spontaneous and deliberate—playful on the surface, precise at the core.
Photo Insert Tips
- Take a vertical photo with child’s head slightly turned at angle with right ear more visible than left (same as character image on last page)
- Avoid distracting backgrounds, take photo in front of solid background
- Take several photos, slightly varying face proximity to full screen
- Face should not take up majority of screen, leave room on sides, top and bottom
- Print photos in standard 4x6 size (you may need to trim at top, bottom or sides for best fit)
